How many Miles on your xA?
2005 got it with 10k on it and have it up to 156,000. Running strong with except with a/c has no power from switches replaced blower motor and resistor but no help. Will check relays but that’s only issue. Looking forward to hitting 200k
193,000. 2005 Scion Xa Manual.
I bought at 159,000. The Carfax Sheet had 2 Owners and Regular Maintenance (6 pages). Test drove... I bought for Cash.
I immediately took it to my mechanic. Changed clean Oil and Filter to Mobile One Extended Performance. Matching... changed a drive belt,
exchanged Manual Gear Oil, and Coolant which was still red. Aligned 4 wheels, balanced tires (New Tigar Paws the Dealer
put on). Spark Plugs to Iridium.
Since... I've changed Oil, Filter and Air Fiter at about 6k. Last week I had a Complete Break Job as Rear Brakes were "talking". Time for that.
The Scion has never thrown an OBT2 Code (no codes on MY OBT2 testers)! Check Engine Light has never tripped. NO LEAKS OF ANY FLUIDS! Burns NO Oil between changes.
I haven't had to add any coolant to date. All other fluid levels "static" and clean.
Clutch Okay... but going to get a clutch job in a few months... because it's "time for that".
Knock on Wood... I think I can keep this baby to 400k! All my investment is basic Car Care.
I love My Little Scion Xa!

My 2004 has 166,000 and my parents' 2006 has 207,000!
The '04 is a beast, will probably never die!
The '06 hasn't fared so well (repairs have been neglected for a few years now). Wondering if it's worth it to fix, this is what the shop says needs fixing:
Sway bar links - bushings torn
New tiresOil leak front timing cover
Replace front and rear shocks
Also could use a paint job (has anyone's clear coat actually held up?), and has more than a few dents.
What do you all think? I'd be sad to see it go but where I live the repairs are going to be at least $3k (dealer quoted $6000-6500).

2005 xA RS1
116,000miles as of 5-14-2009
Bought new in 11-11-2004
A/C overflow leaking water into passenger compartment fixed under warranty.
Been through a couple of front pads and rotors by now.
Changed the alternator once and power steering belt twice by now.
Also had to change the TPS due to a check engine light throwing code 0121 and0122 just recently.
Oh and obviously I've gone through some tires too...
