Default Another new owner / another new member

Hi There,

Well, after researching and deciding what to get as a suitable new car for me and my girlfriend, we finally decided on the Xb!

Man, I just can't believe how roomy that thing is for being such a compact car!

I was trying to 'cut a deal' with the local dealer (not much dealin' on Scions ) they just got one rolling off the truck. I took it for a spin (had only 1 mile on it) and signed the paperwork. We picked it up last Thursday 8/24 after they had added the fog lamps and off we went zooming around town and the state. I just couldn't help to grin from time to time. What a great little car it is...

We're 400 miles further and I'm still breaking it in carefully (I bought it, because we want to keep it).

We absolutely love it!

As for the obligatory pics, we didn't waste any time on it yet, but it pretty much looks like any box out there. Thundercloud metallic with fog lamps, 10-spoke wheel covers and two occupant with big ___ grins

The only 'mod' I have on my wish list is making daytime running lamps from the fogs and I already found a lot of information by doing a simple search!!

Keep on rollin'

I have more pics and info on this thread.

I absolutley love my xB! I have has my eye on them for years and I finally own one! This is my first new car purchase and I'm glad it was this one! I almost was able to get a RS3.0 but the dealership in VA that was holding it for me screwed me over and sold it even though they originally said it was mine. So I got the blue one, my seond favorite color.
I just LOVE the space inside. I sat in a tC first and with the seat all the way back my knees were practically in the dash and my head was almost touching the ceiling! I couldn't believe how small they were compared to the xB's! Anyways, I wanted to say an official "hello" and thanks for having me!

I'm still in the cautious phase of excited, having got my xB yesterday. Thundercloud, no accessories. The only cars I've ever had luck with were two Crown Vics, my '95 which went 340k with only the drivers seat needing changing, and my current 2005 with 130k. Obviously I won't be piling up the same kind of miles on the box, but if it is half as reliable, I'll be smiling.

wife got tired of driving 5-speed Miata, walked inside dealership, drove out with an '06 Shadow Mica. Auto of course, and floor mats. Ordered Ikon Wheels 340 today, probably a better exhaust tip later. everything else WILL BE left stock. now let's see if she really is a 34 mpger.

After owning an xA for 3 months, my wife convinced me to trade it and her BMW in on a Salsa Red box. She loves driving it, and we dropped one car out of our fleet. Now I'll get to drive it most days of the week and she'll let me know what days she needs to use it (works from home). I must admit, the auto is not too bad but I miss the 5-spd.

just spent some money yesterday on roof rack gear. Got

1 44" Yakima fairing (not the size I wanted, but it fits and wind howl is gone
2 steelhead bike mounts

I already installed the fairing and when i get the bike mounts on it my rack will be totally decked out. I love it!

Now my fiancee wants to get a kayak! lol

Got the call from the dealership on Friday, my xB should be in on Monday or Tuesday. Can't wait, this has to be the longest weekend ever.

So I have another long weekend ahead of me. My dealer got my xB in today. I test drove it. It's nice. So now I have to wait until monday again for them to install all the hubcaps, fogs, and spoiler, and for all the enviro/fabric/rust warranty stuff. Monday.
