Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've had the xB bug for a while and had my heart set on an RS 1 or RS 3. Well I finally found the RS3 and it was only an hour away. I picked it up last night complete with 17" wheels. I'm stoked. I have a 16 year old son and he hates me right now too I'm gonna try to keep the moddin' bug away.

later,
david

Went on Sunday with intention of getting a Salsa Red Pearl xB but they didn't have it in that color. Originally ordered with Scion Security, gonna go aftermarket now. I think the longer I wait and more ideas I get from these forums the farther away I get from factory installed options.

I bought a new XB for my wife this week. I decided I was tired of paying $30K for a new car that would just depreciate in value and be used to get groceries and haul the kids around. So, after some reserach I decided on the "Fridge" you see below. I paid just under $15K and my wife loves the box. It has more room than most cars twice its size and gets better gas mileage that the vast majority of cars. Plus, it's a blast to drive. Say no more!

Its time for me to sing my praises to. I purchased my 2006 Shadow Mica xB a week ago today. I am still flying on cloud nine.

Here are the options it came with:

Floor Mats and Cargo Mat
Arm Rest
Door Sill Enhancements
Pioneer Deck w/IPOD Capability
EM - 7 Spoke Alloy Wheels
Bazooka Tub Subwoofer

I also ordered a spoiler and the roof rack (I'll take the rack off unless I'm headed to the mountains or the beach).

I just ordered CA plates that read:

IMBXDIN

Can't wait till they come in.

At nearly 30, I never expected to be driving a car like the xB. I personally didn't like them much when I first saw them. However, they grew on me, and when it became obvious that I needed a quality commuter that I could enjoy driving for the next few years the xB became the obvious choice.

Nothing like a spacious, fun, compact car, getting 30mpg making the ride to work fun again to put a smile on my face. I'm looking forward to getting the spoiler installed in the next couple of weeks to complete the look I want.

I'll post some pics then.

It feels great to be a new member of the Scion family.

I have had both of my Scions for some time now but I love reading these threads of people who are just so happy to have their cars... it really just pretty awsome to know that we all feel the same way about them.

Hey guys,

With extensive reading from this forum, I decided to buy a Thunder Cloud xB. I am so impressed with the purchase experience. The car is exactly what I wanted and I know I can rest easier with it in the driveway.

Now, all I have to decide is what to do with it...

Got mine Saturday, 10/14/06. Got hooked up at the dealer. Was in a bad situation, and he pulled me through (Props to Claremont Toyota, ask for Zupe [Salesman] or Juan Quiones [Front desk manager]). 500 down, no co-sign, under the table job (no pay stubs for proof of employment), and 0 credit history. Those guys made it possible! If you ever need a car, just tell them Matt with the xB sent you.

Got it Thundercloud Grey, all stock for now, but I am going to aftermarket TOWN on this baby once I sell my old Tacoma and get my raise!

I guess I'll throw my name out there. This is the first car that I purchased out of my own pocket! Its a xB '06 (limited edition without the audio controllers on the steering wheel) ;)

Its Blue Onyx Pearl and I bought it used from a local guy on Craigslist. 13k milage and it feels like a new xB that I testdrove at the dealer prior to this purchase.

Dead stock right now, but I'm planning to just change maybe the tails with an overlay for the time being.

Default Two months now and love it

I have had my 2004 xB for two months now and just love the little sucker. As most of the comments here suggested, I needed something larger than my 1991 CRX (I still have it) but still with good gas mileage. I was going to get a Corolla or Tacoma, but the dealer already sold both I was looking at. Then the "box" caught my eye. Immediately after opening the door I proclaimed "HOLY CRAP" about the amount of room inside. I'm tall, 6'4" and I literally have a foot of head room!

No mods yet, but I am considering a sub box to replace the storage area in the back and maybe a armrest.

That's awesome!

There's tons of good info on this site, if you get the itch to start mod'n...

CHECK OUT THE TECH SECTION
https://www.scionlife.com/tech/
(at the top, mouse Features, and drop to 'tech')

ABOUT THE SEARCH
becasue of the breadth of info on this site, it may take a few tries to get your search to return the right results for you. play with different keyword combos, and remember a) the mods try very hard to keep things organized by category, so you can safely limit your search to the right sub-forum, and b) new threads about a previously discussed topic will likely be locked quickly, and a mod doing so will almost always provide the link to the 'definitive' thread on the subject, so locked threads are actually quite useful in a search.

Just got our Polar White MT this past Friday, 10/20. Got it to replace our aging Montero as the family car/grocery getter/carpool car (read: the wife gets it)

I am INSANELY jealous and am trying to scheme out ways to by one for myself.

The kids love it as well, and I cant wait to take our first Disneyland trip in it.

Pretty basic, with just the Scion Security and the rear bumper applique installed by the dealer, but I have already purchased and installed the yak rack and center armrest.

Looking to maybe do cruise, CAI, headers and exhaust to add some pep, but thats about it.

Ok, and maybe some racing stripes.

;)

I love it and this site is 2nd to none for info.
