The "I got an xB and am So Excited!" Thread!
The story of how I came to buy my SCION is here:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=121934
I took delivery of the SM xB on Thursday, just 10 das into the 30 day window the dealer gave me. (Too bad it has rained everyday since
) The Konig Rewinds I ordered were delivered the same day.
I'll get the front windows tinted on Tuesday.
My touring bicycle "just" fits in the back with the seats down and the passenger seat forward a bit. If I want to arry two bikes and a passenger, I'll need a rack.
First impressions?
Plenty of get-up-and-go, IMO. I'll drive the '95 Impala SS if I want to get pushed back into my seat.
I'm 6'4" and there is plenty of room.
The dome light is in the same position as many other cars, so I don't see what the big beef is. In fact, in the Jeep Wrangler I traded in on the xB, I pulled the fuse on the interior lights years ago so they wouldn't come on when I took off the doors.
Speaking of the Wrangler, the xB has a MUCH better ride.
All-in-all, I'm likin' it a lot. The color seems to change with the brightness of the day. The wheels match pretty well, IMO, and look somewhat "factory." They look different from a distance as well as the shine gives them more of a "chrome" look than they actually have.

just picked up my XB few hours ago. 06' w/ only 10 miles on the clock. Came with Free SIRUS and 9 months prepaid for. I also got LoJack and the 6yr/100k extended warrenty. This is my first new car. Now I need to sell my S13 when that ___ movie comes out.
I'm soooooo Happy

well, just to start off this is my first post. i've had my 06 bop xb about 2 months now and i really love it. i do miss the hp from my trade in tho...01 ford lightning .....but the payment and gas savings are well worth the sacrifice......i've caught the mod bug already.....projector headlights, euro tails, cai.door sill protectors, and have already got the header and axle back exhaust ordered.
I also got a SM 06' 2 days ago in North Palm Beach. Traded in my 02 stang gt, why else, gas prices! I was 50/50 on how I would feel about the change but I'm loving the XB, especially the gas mileage. Plans are to tint the windows, maybe an in-dash dvd.
I told myself I wouldnt go all out with yet another car, but only time will tell.... Also had a horrible dealer experience, but that is another time and thread.

I got mine a couple weeks ago when I found out my new job would be an extra 10 miles away through narsty traffic, and I was driving a minivan of all things. That 15 mpg wasn't cutting it. I was looking at the 06 'stang and the xB, and the mileage tipped the scale (not to mention the price tag).
One dealer had zero in stock and another had 8. I took the only manual transmission. LOVIN driving through the hills of Austin in this thing. It handles great!
It's pretty stock except the iPod hookup for now. I ordered for vent visors, and lights will be next. I got the shadow mica, and I want the whole thing dark. I'll call it my shadowbox.
GREAT little box.

A new job is forcing me to commute a considerable amount each week, so I decided to get a car this weekend that could get me around 30MPG.
I've been tossing around the idea of used cars, ranging anywhere from $5000 to $15000, but frustration in my search lead me to look at a new vehicle. Further frustration dealing with Honda dealership policies about marking up from MSRP on Civics and Fits lead me to the Scion dealership down the street. I wasn't sure if I wanted an xA or an xB, so I tested both.
After talking to my wife on the phone about my test driving experience, she noted that she had finally come around on xBs and could tolerate the idea of owning one. The xA, on the other hand, was out of the question. That being said, I sat down with my salesperson, chose a few options, and a couple hours after walking into my first Scion dealership, I was driving out with a new Blue Onyx.
Now, I gotta admit that there isn't anything special about any one thing on the car, but as a whole, there must be some sort of synergy going on, 'cuz there's something unusually appealing about driving the car that I just can't place. In either case, I am very happy with the car and very happy with my Scion car buying experience.
Well, that's my first post on this forum, and I look forward to more amusing times with this car and this board.

I have a deposit down on an xB in Onyx Blue Pearl - the car should show up within a week. I can't wait, though it will mean selling the coolest car I've ever owned, a 1991 BMW M5 (5-spd, 340 hp inline 6). Trouble is, the thing gets 15 mpg, so it has to go. Oh well - time to move on.
I fell inlove with the Scion when it made its local debut at the International Carshow last year.
I adopted mine Saturday. Its Black Cherry (or Merlot as we call it) with tinted windows, its an automatic, it has foglights and the Ipod stereo.
I am so inlove with this car!

Hubby just gave me an RS3 in Envy Green for our Anniversary! I LOVE IT and can't wait to drive it! The color is AWESOME! Our kids think it's the coolest Toaster on the road, they are calling it the Mean Envy Green Machine!
Well on 06/27/06 i picked up my first non-german car. It is a different transition, but i love it so far...
Here is my 2006 Scion XB Blue Onyx Pearl wtih 5 miles on it. Manual of course, that way i can harness all 103hp!
