Anything Relating to HID
Thanks JJ.
Not a whole lot of scatter above the stock vertical cutoff - but not a whole lot of light below it either - interesting... a thing strip of intense light, instead of a "lower eyelid" shape.
How is the throw out on the road? is there any dead spot in front of you, before you get decent illumination? (the dead spot can easily be filled with foglights as needed - just wondering.
Looks good though! i'd rather deal with a dead spot than blinding others.

no, the road lights up nice. I had to adjust them down since that picture, as i was getting many high beams (yes i'd beam them back, LOL).
but as far as the light, it's nice. fills the whole area in a bubble shape. real wide coverage, and depending on your height adjustment, range. I can light up the road a good half mile down with the high beams on, and it still shines in the low beam area, too. bi-xenon FTW!

so i just bought a set of HID's in 6000K...my question is: my parking light is still going to be a warm white....how do i change that to cool or natural white bulb? do they make them? or do i just unplug it?
JJ, I think you misunderstood....the parking light incandescent bulb is already warm white and i want it to be cool or natural white....
i can find an led bulb in 168 but isn't the heat generated by the headlight so close by gunna fry the led parking light?
anyone have experience with this? running an led parking light instead of the incandescent?

I have blue LED's in my parking lights, i've had 5K HID's in it since april. i have the headlights on for roughly 2-3 hours a day, and for 7 hours on my trip from pittsburgh to indy, and back, and still no issues with the LED's.
yeah, and my LED's are those $0.89 cent ones from ebay from china. they take 2 weeks to arrive, but it's well worth the $0.89 and $1.99 for shipping. LOL

so i just got my HID's in the mail yesterday...i ordered the 6000K hi/lo's...
according to the installation picture that came with the instructions, the waterproof washer should be between the bulb and the OEM male socket, but with my set, the waterproof washer is AFTER the OEM male socket...
i think this set was put together wrong...i can't seem to figure out how you would go about sealing the headlight off with the wires and gaskets set up this way...
does that make sense? am i missing something here?
