Default Drivers Seat Falling Apart?

The other day when I was vacuuming out my car I noticed a pile of chewed up white foam padding under my seat. At first I thought something got into my car and started chewing underneath the driver seat. Does anyone else have this problem? My seat seems to be disintegrating. Hell I only weigh 200 lbs and only owned the D since April 08.

Warranty is your best friend. Make an appointment at your local Scion dealership.

Wow umm...I've had my xD since January and I had no idea that the jack was there. I had a flat tire back in july or august, and I was mad as hell thinking there was no jack.

There's a reason why there's a manual in the car.

Still...every car I've owned had a jack in the trunk. I've cleaned under the seat and I figured that big plastic cover was some sort of crazy air vent.

My seat gets adjusted daily (wife and I both drive it) and I've never seen this. I would take it to a dealership and get it looked at.

Same here! I tore the rear storage area up looking for the jack! Figured it was not installed or had been removed at the dealer. ALL of the other flat tire gear is in the rear. Why they put the jack under the driver's seat is a mystery. Weight distribution crossed my mind, but the xD isn't "that" kind of car.

I dont know about weight distribution. I'm guessing that because the spare is on an angle they had to fit the jack up front. But hey at least I dont feel as bad now from all you guys doggin me- at least one other person was a little confused. And, I did read the manual...most of it, anyway.

In regards to the seat falling apart, I'm guessing either kids did it from picking at it or the vacuum cleaner itself shredded it. I'd take it back to the dealer.

Haha CGuy, don't sweat it - I had a flat 2 months back and spent 30 min looking for the hitch. It was only my stubborn 'I -know- I didn't remove the hitch, so it -has- to be somewhere in the car.' attitude that kept me looking until I finally found it; god only knows what made me look under the seat
