Can you please explain how this piece can shorten the distance that the throw needs to travel to change gears?
This piece changes where the cable attaches to the transmission linkage if I remember correctly. By changing this, it allows the travel to be shortened. It is the same concept as moving the fulcrum on the shifter itself to shorten the shifts, only the fulcrum is moved on the transmission linkage instead. Hopefully, that helps explain it.

Also, congrats on getting a new D. You'll love it.

This is correct.

Also, you can check the following thread for hundreds of user reviews, comments, and replies regarding this same SSK on the Toyota Yaris... http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

Congrats on your new purchase. Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

No you should not. Our next version will be compatible with the current NSTSSK08 that many people already own. The upcoming version will be a "stage2" type of upgrade.

NSTSSK08, the current version that you can buy now, will be easier to install and will reduce throws by more of a noticeable amount.

Had my xD for 3 days. Got the SSK from www.g2autosports.com. Super fast shipping since I was pretty close. Put in the SSK today in about 2 minutes. Freakin love it. The car should come this way. If you are one the fence, just buy one. You will like it.

Wow, thanks for the great step by step with clear instructions and pictures! I'm going to get this next!

Does installing this void any xd warranties?

A lot of you have this already...

And some of you have been waiting for this...

Our new NSTSSK08-2, what we call the "stage2" upgrade, is now in stock and on sale on our website...
http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pShiftNSTpics.htm

Quick recap:

NSTSSK08 is our original SSK, the one many of you already own. This piece installs in about five minutes in the engine bay. You can literally use only your hands for this installation and removal. Roughly 30% reduction in throw.

NSTSSK08-2 is our new in-cabin SSK. This piece attaches to the bottom of the OEM stick and reduces throw without requiring the removal of the OEM stick. The height/location of the shift **** remains unchanged, something track drivers really enjoy. Installation requires the use of minor tools and roughly 30 minutes. Roughly 25% reduction in throw.

NSTSSK08 and NSTSSK08-2 CAN be combined for a super short throw!

Wow, I installed the engine bay SSK for now, the in-cabin SSK should be here Monday or Tuesday. What a difference. I'd say it's reduced by around 50% alone with the SSK, who knows how short it's going to get with the in-cabin SSK. I'm excited. Install, fit and finish were all extremely great. The car should come like this off the lot. No tractor shifter ftw!

We would love to build pulleys and other products for you in the future, but we can only do this if you guys support our current products.
