turbotoytas simple kit+GT3071R (vid p 12, final results p 31)
sigh...damn it all, okay, car got to the dyno today, started tuning idle and partial throttle, but there's a problem, the AEM f/ic isn't getting any MAP reading.
mike, the tuner hooked up to mo's tC to see whats going on and took a test ride with him, and the MAP sensor on his aem f/ic is giving a reading.
so either there is a problem with the aem f/ic i have, or a problem with the pnp harness, like needing a resistor or something. they said they should be able to figure it out, fix it and have it ready by tomorrow at 1.
they said to call them at 11 in the morning and see where it is at. damn, i was soo excited today and seeing it on the dyno, it sounds great too, but now there is a kink in the harness ruining everyhign.

yea this is true i know if i had a car ahead of me that i never worked on id be slower when working with it
but i mean if they meant 2 hours to install turbomanifold,downpipe,oillines,turbo and wastegate i can do that in under 2 hours lol i just might have me a new job lol without a ASE certification
he was checking the wiring to make sure mine was hooked up right and such, but for some reason, mine just isn't sending that signal. again, hopefully i'll be on the road tomorrow!
yeah, but me and mo are running different kits with different turbos and different injector sizes. the problem is how are you supposed to tune with any MAP readings?

Check and make sure the reset button is not stuck in..
ive never seen or had that happen.. were did you tap the vacume line for the fic?
lol, the reset buttons stuck. not sure where the vac lines are, they're probably tapped into the world racing intake manifold i'm using since it was already tapped and everything.

If your AEM F/IC MAP sensor was not functioning properly they would not be able to tune a single load point.....not even idle, much less partial throttle.

i never posted this but i guess now is a good time...
one guy sent me his fic for repair (he had gotten the flash (little white thing in the pics) button stuck by sticking a safety pin in it...lol) while i had his fic apart i noticed a few things, the biggest thing i seen was the fact that the rubber tube thats inside the fic leading to the internal map sensor is spliced and has a tiny filter in it. at those splices the connections seemed lose to me so i added some zipties to it to keep them from comeing off....its worth a shot to check..

if he's on the trd tune..
He's got another ball game going!
The trd computer is already pulling alot of timing! And adding fuel! So when you maf sensor is seeing the boost its pulling timing adding fuel! Since you cant add timing with the fic. your timing map is going to look very diff then others maps! As well you should be pulling alot more fuel and ur going to need to probably clamp the maf sooner to not have the trd tune do its wot settings.!
and ur o2 readings are going to be heavily diff since the trd tune is trying to achive 12.6 part throttle already!
